How verification works
Every listing is a real business we found in public sources and checked by hand. The badge tells you how much has been confirmed.
Lankan Verified
Until owners can claim listings, a business earns the badge when we see it rated 4.0 or higher on Google from at least 50 reviewers. We note the date we checked and look again within 12 months. We do not copy or show the ratings themselves; the reviews stay on Google.
Not verified yet
The business is real and appeared open when we checked, but it has not met the rule above or been claimed. That is not a mark against it, often it is simply new or small. Free owner claims are coming soon.
Verification levels
Once claiming opens, owners move up these levels through our own checks. Contact checks expire after a year and document checks after two.
- Level 0 · Listed
Added from public sources or suggested by the community. Marked “not verified”.
No badge - Level 1 · Contact confirmed
A code is sent to the business’s own public phone number.
No badge yet - Level 2 · Owner verified
The owner claims the listing and confirms who they are.
Badge - Level 3 · Registration checked
Business registration matched, such as Companies House or an ABN.
Badge - Level 4 · Credentials checked
Checks for the trade, such as a food hygiene rating.

Fair ranking
Verified places come first, then the most complete listings. Nobody can pay to rank higher, and we never remove a business for declining to advertise.
